2. Howard’s Restaurant

Howard’s Restaurant is the oldest steakhouse in Gatlinburg, featuring indoor and outdoor dining with a creekside view. There’s something for everyone, from steak and seafood to BBQ and burgers. Their steak for 2 dinner is one of the best values in town– an 8 oz. USDA choice filet and a 14 oz. USDA choice Ribeye (2 of the same or 1 of each steak) and two sides with each steak. They do not take reservations or call-ahead seating. 

3. Chesapeake’s

If you enjoy seafood, Chesapeake’s is the place to go for a romantic date night dinner in Gatlinburg. They have a lounge bar, private wine cellar, raw bar and grill, as well as a heated outdoor patio with a river view. A couple of dishes we recommend include the baked crab dip appetizer, the Oysters Chesapeake with creamy blue crab, bacon, and mushrooms, as well as the shrimp and grits and key lime pie for dessert. Reservations are encouraged. 

4. Pizza Rio

You can’t go wrong with pizza for date night, and at Pizza Rio, you’ll get a unique dining experience too! They serve pizza the Brazilian way, which means you get all-you-can-eat access to the pre-set menu, which typically includes a couple of different salad options, crispy chicken wings, a chef’s special soup available seasonally, meatballs in house-made marinara, slices of focaccia and crostini, and a daily selection of both savory and dessert pizzas. Reservations are not required but are recommended, especially during peak tourist season.
